Our Services

  • Currently, we offer fly-fishing guide services on the privately owned Valholl Ranch’s 40-acre fly-fishing lake located in Como, Colorado. When we receive our final permit approvals from the State of Colorado, we will be expanding our guide trips to include float trips and walk and wade excursions on public waters.

  • Whether you’re new to fly fishing or you have years of experiences casting a fly rod, we can help you improve your “reach!”

  • This class is designed for beginners or people who have not casted a fly rod for many years. We teach you the basics which include a description of the essential fly-fishing equipment, proper posture with a fly rod, an introduction to “false casting” (the fly cast), and the basics of hooking and landing a fish. We also offer a basic entomology (bug science) explanation and discuss the importance of ethical fishing for the benefit of the conservation efforts for our fisheries.

    Duration: Two (2) hours.

Class Size: minimum one (1) and maximum seven (7) students.

Venue: One hour on dry land and one hour on the water.

Prerequisites: Be excited about fly fishing!

  • This class expounds on FC101 with the intention of increasing the distance students can cast by refining technique. We work to reverse any bad habits the students have developed. We also introduce the importance of being able to cast effectively with both arms. It’s not hard to learn this skill and the dividends will pay off!

Class Size: minimum one (1) and maximum 5 students.

Venue: One hour on dry land and two hours of on-the-water instruction.
